Mission

South Dakota Farm Bureau is an effective agriculture organization that serves its members by working to improve the personal, social, economic and political interests of South Dakota’s farm and ranch families.

Visions

Vision I: Public officials and media seek reliable, factual information and input from SDFB.

Goal 1: Improve SDFB relationships with media.
  
Goal 2: Increase SDFB interaction with public officials.

Vision II: SDFB is a recognized authority on ag issues.

Goal 1: Improve working relationships with allies on issues of common interests.
   
Goal 2: SDFB leadership and staff stay well informed on current agricultural issues.

Vision III: SDFB develops and refines the leadership abilities of its members.

Goal 1: Nurture potential leaders.
 
Goal 2: Provide effective leadership development and training programs.
  
Goal 3: Identify opportunities for leaders to use their skills.

Vision IV: SDFB programs and services meet everchanging member needs.

Goal 1: Evaluate current services and develop new services based on member needs.

Vision V: SDFB have active member participation at the county, district and state level.

Goal 2: Provide county FB leaders with the necessary resources.

Vision VI: SDFB is financially strong and able to fund desired programs.

Goal 1: Improve new member recruitment and member retention programs.
